There’s a moment I see very often.
A nail technician is working, doing their best, trying to improve - but something still doesn’t feel right. The work is not as clean as they want it to be. It takes too long.
Some details just don’t come together the way they should. At that point, they usually start looking for training.
And there are great full-day classes out there - structured, detailed, built around a specific topic. They absolutely have their place, and sometimes that’s exactly what a person needs.
But sometimes… it’s not. Because real problems don’t come in a “topic format”. They’re specific. Personal. And often very different from what a general class is built around.
So naturally, people start looking for something more focused. And that’s where training sessions come in. But then comes the moment that stops almost everyone at first:
They see the price.
“$250 for 3 hours?”
And it feels like a lot.
But what most people don’t realize right away is that they’re not actually looking at the full picture. Because those 3 hours are not just “a short training”. They’re part of a completely different way of learning. And once you look at it from that perspective - the numbers, the structure, and the value start to make a lot more sense.
I’ll explain it the way I see it.
Let’s take something simple.
Five sessions.That’s 5 × 3 hours = 15 hours.
Not “training hours” where you sit, listen, wait, and take breaks. But real, focused, hands-on work.
Now compare that to a typical full-day training.
You’re there for 8-10 hours.
There are breaks.
There’s theory.
There’s waiting.
There’s time spent on things you may already know.
In reality, the amount of truly focused, productive work is much less than it seems.
So those 15 hours from sessions? They’re not “a few short visits”. They’re actually very close to two full training days in terms of real work.
Which means:
$1100 for 5 sessions
comes out to about $550 per full training day
And if someone chooses a bigger package:
10 sessions = 30 hours
which is about four full training days
That’s around $450-500 per day
When you look at it like that, the price starts to feel very different. Because it’s not about paying “$250 for 3 hours”. It’s about how much real, usable work you’re actually getting. But even that is not the most important part.
What really changes everything is how you use that time.
In a traditional class, you follow a structure.
There’s a topic. A plan. A direction that’s the same for everyone. And again - that format works. We offer those trainings too, and they’re valuable.
But training sessions work differently.
You don’t come in to follow a general topic. You come in to work on what you need.
Sometimes it’s one thing. Sometimes it’s several. Sometimes you focus on one detail for the entire session. Sometimes you move through different parts of your work. There’s no pressure to keep up with anyone. No feeling that you’re ahead or behind. It’s just your pace, your work, your progress. And I think this is the part people don’t expect. You’re not sitting through information. You’re actively fixing what’s not working.
Another thing that matters more than people realize:
You don’t have to stop your life to learn. You don’t need to block off full days. You don’t need to cancel your clients. You don’t need to step out of your routine completely. You can come in for 3 hours. Work. Focus. Improve. And then go back to your schedule.
And when you come back again, it’s not from zero. You come back with: new experience, new questions, new understanding. And that’s how real progress happens.
If I had to simplify it as much as possible, I’d say this:
You’re not paying for a class. You’re paying to fix what’s holding you back.
And once that changes: You work faster. Cleaner. More confidently. And naturally - you start earning more from your work.
So no, I don’t see these sessions as expensive. I see them as one of the most practical and efficient ways to actually grow.
At L’AREA, we offer both: Full structured classes - when you need a complete system and Training sessions - when you need focused, real improvement. If this approach makes sense to you, you’ll feel it. And if you’re ready, you can book a session or choose a package that works for your schedule.
