When categorizing beauty professionals like permanent makeup artists, nail artists, and other specialists, their classification often depends on their level of experience. Each level reflects the artist’s journey of growth, knowledge, and mastery, ensuring that clients receive the highest quality service based on the specialist’s skill and experience. This structured naming convention helps in clearly communicating the expertise and experience level of the specialist to clients and within the industry.

1. Beginner/Apprentice:
A beginner is someone who has just entered the industry, typically fresh out of training or certification programs. They have a basic understanding of the tools, techniques, and procedures but lack hands-on experience. Beginners often work under the guidance of more experienced professionals, focusing on building confidence and perfecting fundamental skills. At this stage, they are eager to learn and improve but may take more time with clients to ensure precision and quality. 

2. Junior Level:
A junior-level specialist has some practical experience beyond their initial training, typically having worked in the field for a short period. They are more comfortable with basic techniques and can handle simple client requests with more independence. However, they may still be developing more advanced skills and require occasional supervision or feedback. Juniors are refining their abilities, starting to develop their own style, and gaining speed and consistency in their work.

3. Intermediate Level:
Intermediate Level Professionals at this level have a few years of experience and have developed a solid skill set. They are more independent in their work and are trusted to handle a wide range of client needs. They continue to hone their craft while exploring advanced techniques and trends.

4. Senior/Advaced Level:
Senior artists or specialists are highly experienced and skilled. They have mastered advanced techniques and have built a loyal clientele. These professionals often take on leadership roles, mentor others, and are sought after for their expertise and innovation.
5. Expert:
These specialists are at the top of their field, often with many years of experience and certifications in advanced techniques. They may offer exclusive services and be recognized within the industry for their expertise. Some may also teach or train other professionals, contribute to industry trends, or even develop new techniques.
