Professional growth at L'AREA
Clear structure. Transparent expectations. Long-term opportunities.
This page explains how professional growth works at L’AREA — both in skill development and in leadership opportunities.
At L’AREA, professional growth is built on structure and clarity. We believe it is important for every specialist to clearly understand how growth works, what depends on individual performance, and what is determined by company needs. That is why professional development at L’AREA follows two distinct growth directions.
1. Professional Level & Income Growth
The first type of growth reflects a specialist’s professional skills, experience, and quality of work.
This level:
- is visible to clients
- determines service pricing
- reflects technical mastery and expertise
Client-facing levels include:
- Apprentice
- Junior
- Intermediate
- Senior
- Master
As a specialist’s professional level grows, service pricing and earning potential increase accordingly. This type of growth is focused on craft, skill, and service quality.
2. Growth Within the Company
The second type of growth reflects a specialist’s role inside the brand, not just technical ability.
This growth is related to:
- responsibility
- reliability
- discipline
- contribution to team and brand standards
It is not automatically connected to professional level or service pricing.
Examples of internal growth paths include:
- VIP service format
- Mentorship and training roles
- Administrative roles
- Management and salon leadership roles
These roles are assigned by the company based on business needs, readiness, and alignment with L’AREA values.
Leadership & Management Growth
At L’AREA, leadership roles are not a continuation of technical skill. They are a result of mindset, initiative, and full alignment with the brand. Specialists who focus on delivering high-quality services and improving their craft grow professionally and financially. Specialists who demonstrate initiative beyond their daily work — such as supporting processes, maintaining standards, and consistently thinking in the long-term interest of the brand — may be considered for leadership and management roles.
What leadership means at L’AREA
A manager at L’AREA is not simply an experienced specialist. A manager is a representative of the brand who:
- fully follows and protects brand standards
- supports company decisions internally and externally
- communicates with clients in alignment with brand values
- acts in the interest of the business, not personal preferences
Brand standards, internal policies, and management decisions are not subject to discussion with clients and must be followed without exception.
What leadership is — and what it is not
At L’AREA, initiative and leadership are not the same thing. Initiative is valued and appreciated, but leadership and management roles require a much broader level of responsibility. Occasional help with daily tasks — such as assisting with minor operational needs, supporting colleagues, or helping maintain the workspace — is considered part of professional conduct and team culture. These actions alone do not constitute management responsibility and do not qualify a specialist for leadership or management roles.
Management roles at L’AREA require the ability to:
- take responsibility for processes, not individual tasks
- think systemically and long-term
- support the business consistently, not selectively
- prioritize brand interests over personal comfort or convenience
- handle responsibility without counting hours or individual favors
Leadership is measured by ownership, reliability, and alignment, not by isolated acts of assistance.
Special Roles & Growth Opportunities
In addition to professional skill growth, L’AREA offers several special roles and development paths. These roles are not automatic promotions and are assigned based on business needs, readiness, and alignment with brand values.
VIP Service Format
The VIP service format is a special service role, not a personal status. It is designed for select clients who require an elevated level of service and consistency.
Expectations:
consistently high-quality work
- strict adherence to service protocols
- punctuality and schedule discipline
- elevated client communication standards
- absolute alignment with brand policies
The VIP service format:
- is assigned by the company
- is not permanent or guaranteed
- does not grant autonomy or independent decision-making
- does not create personal ownership of clients
All VIP clients remain clients of L’AREA, not individual specialists.
Mentorship & Training Roles
Mentorship and training roles support skill development while protecting brand standards.
Expectations:
- strong communication skills
- patience and professionalism
- ability to teach without personal bias
- strict adherence to brand methods and protocols
- respect for management structure
These roles:
- require consistency and reliability
- are assigned based on readiness, not seniority
- do not replace management authority
Administrative Roles
Administrative roles support daily operations and client experience.
Expectations:
- organization and attention to detail
- clear and professional communication
- confidentiality
- strict adherence to procedures
- respect for internal hierarchy
Administrative roles:
- do not include independent decision-making beyond assigned responsibilities
- are evaluated based on accuracy, reliability, and consistency
Management & Leadership Roles
Management roles are responsible for executing and protecting the brand’s vision.
Expectations:
- full alignment with brand values and standards
- consistent representation of management decisions
- responsibility for processes, not individual tasks
- readiness to prioritize business needs over personal preferences
- loyalty to the brand and leadership structure
Management roles require complete trust and are assigned only when the company determines readiness.
Important to understand
Professional level and internal role do not always grow at the same pace.
A specialist may:
- have a high professional level and premium pricing while remaining in a standard specialist role inside the company
Or
- take on additional responsibility inside the brand
- without changes to service pricing
Both paths are valid and valuable to the business.
Our Growth Philosophy
At L’AREA:
- professional growth increases income
- internal growth increases responsibility and influence
Both types of growth exist to support brand development, service quality, and long-term stability.
Growth opportunities are created only when they benefit both the specialist and the brand.
Final Note
All professional levels, internal roles, special assignments, and leadership positions are determined solely by L’AREA management. They are not time-based, guaranteed, or subject to negotiation and are assigned at the discretion of L’AREA management.
